Three Stones Rings
Characteristics of Three Stone Engagement Rings
Three stone engagement rings, as the name implies, consist of a center stone with two smaller stones framing it. The aesthetic elegance of the three stone style derives, in part, from the contrast and complementary nature of the stones. For instance, if two round-cut diamonds are used to frame a center round-cut diamond, the roundness of the center stone is amplified. If that same round-cut center diamond is framed by princess-cut diamonds, the contrast between the shapes acts as a beautiful surprise. Here at Huntington Fine Jewelers, we’re pleased to offer three stone engagement rings from the top designers in the industry, and the sheer diversity of their looks means that there’s always something for your special tastes!Popular Three Stone Engagement Ring Collections at Huntington Fine Jewelers
One of our favorite designers, Tacori, offers a remarkable selection of three stone engagement rings, and the collection we enjoy using to illustrate this is the Simply Tacori line. Tacori uses many different diamond cuts as the framing stones, ranging from round-cut diamonds to the unique chevron-cut diamond. The chevron cut adds angularity to round- and oval-cut diamonds and roundness to emerald-cut and princess-cut center stones. Alternatively, if you’re looking for a whimsical, colorful take on the design, Bridal Bells offers engagement rings with sapphires and blue diamonds. There’s something truly special about a central blue sapphire framed by white diamonds or the opposite, where a central white diamond is framed by the sapphires. Bridal Bells also utilizes a triplicity of blue diamonds, a rare and elegant jewel.Simon G. is another of our favorite designers, and their Mosaic collection of three stone engagement rings is an ultramodern take on Art Deco timelessness. The center stones of these rings are sculpted from interlocking angular diamonds, held in place by pave-studded halos. Many of the halos are yellow or rose gold, contrasting with the white gold of the ring. They’re set with colored pink and yellow diamonds that add a 20s-era boldness to the overall appearance. But if you adore three stone engagement rings and enjoy the purity of the look, check out the Hearts on Fire Triplicity collection: Clean, minimalist patterns hold the beauty of princess-cut center stones, framed by utterly unique triangle “wings” with round-cut diamonds that create the appearance of trilliant diamonds.
